Marina Members:
As the boating season is moving into full swing, please keep safety and
good practices in mind:
- Check and
adjust or replace your dock lines. They will most likely have stretched
or frayed over the winter.
- Remember
electrical safety:
- Check
all shore power cables for cuts or abrasions.
- Remember to TURN OFF
the power on the dock stanchion BEFORE you unplug your shore power
cords.
- NEVER
leave you shore power cable plugged into the dock power stanchion when you
leave the dock.
- Be sure
the water is off. Notify the dockmaster if any faucet is
leaking.
- DO NOT
POWER WASH the DOCKS. The
manufacturer has specifically recommended AGAINST this practice.
- You can
keep the rubber dock rub rails clean with a solution of 1/3 household bleach,
2/3 water and a squirt of liquid soap (Liquid Green works well):
- Carefully apply to
the rub rail – (It will stain the dock surface if the solution hits the
wood)
- Let it
dry.
- Re-apply.
- Wash
off with a hose. Scrubbing is generally not needed.
- Please be considerate of fellow
slipowners. Do not leave wake
until well beyond marina.
Thanks,
and happy boating.
