The meeting was called to order at 3:30 PM by Co-Chair
David Russman in the Washington Room of the Bay Club. Members present
were: Mary Lavin, Sara Chamberlain, Cathy Konstalid, Penny Boozman,
Angela Silverthorne, Kathy Russman, Betty Riddick, and Helen Sommerkamp,
Board Liaison.
Minutes: The minutes of the August 7, 2007 meeting were approved as
written.
Treasurer’s Report: Betty Riddick, Treasurer reported that as of
September 4, 2007 the balance on hand was $857.74. The remaining
events will be funded as follows:
Brenda Linton $250
Men in Accord $ 50
Fred Willard $ 50
Holiday Show $458
Kathy Russman moved to accept the treasurer’s report and that was
seconded by Dave Russman. The report was approved as written.
Old Business
1. September 9 Cypress Landing reads: Penny, Sara and Betty reported on
plans for the event. An event planning form was completed.
2. BCCC ENDOWMENT EVENT: Helen Sommerkamp reported that twenty-six
people were present. Those who attended were very impressed with the
stories told by the two scholarship recipients. $2435 has been collected
thus far. If 400 households would contribute $25, the community would
have enough for a $10,000 endowment. Helen plans to report on this at
the HOA annual meeting.
3. September 23 Brenda Linton Concert: Angela passed around the event
planning form. Set up will be at 5PM. Refreshments will be provided by
the A-K group.
4October 7 Men in Accord: Maja will contact Larry Ahlman and
create the posters and announcements..
5. Thursday Events: No refreshments will be served.
New Business
1. ECU Fliers: They have not yet arrived, but the committee
members volunteered to deliver them when they do.
2. HOA Meeting September 15: Cathy Konstalid, Kathy Russman and Mary
Lavin volunteered to man the table. The table will include a poster with
flyers and pictures.
3. The Holiday Show: Angela reported that the show will be held on
December 9 at 4PM and 7 PM. There are 85 in the multigenerational cast
and crew. The co-directors are Angela Silverthorne, Sherry Caporossi,
Wilma Collins and Cathy Konstalid. We plan to ask if the Sunshine Group
would like some acts to perform at their holiday event.
It was moved by Betty Riddick and seconded by Mary Lavin that the
meeting be adjourned at 5:30 PM.
The next meeting will be October 2 at 3:30PM.
