“ARTISTS-OF-THE-MONTH SHOW”, November 4, 2007
Holly thanked the volunteers who contributed to the success of the show.
Approximately 135 people attended.
Artists Exhibiting Work at the Bay Club:

NEW BUSINESS:
Art Space, Raleigh, March 15th - April 26, 2008. Holly will
inquire as to whether we can visit the show on Tuesday, April 22, 2008.
She will mention the show when she writes the next article for “The
Landing” so that the community will be aware of the event. We will
car pool to Raleigh.
Treasury – The committee plans to request permission from the HOA to
allow this year’s unspent money to be placed in an “escrow account” for
next season’s use. (See below).
January 10th, 2008 Meeting: The committee discussed the possible
purchase of a piece of sculpture for the new Phase II Park. The
January meeting will convene at the site. We will invite
Washington sculptor, Willie Foley, the Building & Grounds Committee, and
the neighbors whose property abuts the park to attend.
Artwork Purchased by the Committee:
Bev Lasher researched and is ordering samples of permanent tags to
identify works of art. She will ask the HOA House Committee (Doug
Smith) for its approval. If approved, the Art Committee will
purchase the tags.
Election of Officers for the 2008-2009 Season:
Several members’ names were proposed to serve.
