PRESENT: Holly Cook ,Lynda Lane, Beverly Lasher,
Helen Sommerkamp, M.J.Peters, Sharon Bachman and Barbara

No minutes were approved as read.
OLD BUSINESS:
Plans were made for the November 4th Artisans Show at the Bay Club. The
Artists will be Pat Boyd, Linda Boyer, and Dodie and John
Grossler. The artist will be asked to demonstrate their techniques, if
possible, during the show. The hours of the show will be 1:00 P.M. to
4:00 P.M. Holly Cook will be in charge of refreshments. Beverly
Lasher will be in charge of publicity and flyers. Sharon Bachman will
make up a program with a brief biography of each artist and
all committee members will act as hostesses. All members will also be
expected to stay and clean up after the show. Lynda Lane will take care
of balloons to be attached to sign at the entrance to the Bay
Club. All Members are asked to bring any easels they
may have., large and small.
NEW BUSINESS:
Beverly Lasher will look into having a “sandwich board” made for
attaching our posters and signs onto for our shows. This will be a small
expenditure for the art committee but all felt it necessary
to have one made for all future shows.
ARTIST OF THE MONTH:
The August Artist of the month was Barbara Geesey
The September Artist is Mary Ellen Holcher
The October Artist will be M.J. Peters
FUTURE TRIPS
A Possible trip to the ART SPACE in Raleigh in March
or April of 2008 will be planned and also a trip to the Art Museum in
Greenville. The Cypress Landing community will be invited and dates will
be determined at a later time. Information will be sent out to the
community closer to the time of the trips.
